Many people come to my practice seeking advice on the problem of obesity and ideal weight.
Obesity has become one of the most dangerous pandemics for humanity.
We all know the harmful consequences of obesity, so if you are an obese person, it would be good for you to hear my advice to people with this disorder, so that they can understand this phenomenon in the right way,
Do you know where my advice begins?
Obesity and ideal weigth. A story about frogs
A group of frogs were walking in the forest and suddenly two of them fell into a very deep pothole.
All the frogs told him to give up and give up. One of them did so and soon died. The other frog, because it was deaf, kept jumping until it managed to get out of the hole.
With the problem of obesity and overweight, something similar to the situation in which you can look just like the frogs in the story happens.
Nowadays, many people (including the world of scientists) believe that they have the upper hand in solving the problem of obesity.
They do not shy away from giving advice on what to eat, what to diet, how many calories to consume, what kind of exercise to do, how much to sleep, etc., etc.
And they even provide average tables by which they say you should be guided to know whether or not you have the right weight for your height.
If you listen to all these counsellors you may end up in a neurotic hospital or you may spend a lifetime in immense suffering trying to conform to a certain established pattern of health.
But what we may not be paying attention to is that ideal weight is very subjective. There can’t be a predetermined pattern for everyone.
You get the ideal weight when you actually feel lush, energetic, attractive and comfortable with your body. And you are the only person who can know this.
If you try to agree with a false idea, generated by fashion or the time of how much you must weigh to be healthy you will overlook the fact that your body is a true miracle of genetic design. No two bodies are the same and no two states of health are the same.
The only problem is that you get back the perfect physiology that nature gave you. And it’s easier than you think.
For that you only have to follow three simple recommendations:
- Eat when your body is hungry, not when your mind asks you to;
- Chew your food slowly and in small amounts, enjoying it
- Eat until the feeling of hunger has passed and not because of what your eyes see as appetizing.
Like the frog that managed to get out of the hole because it was deaf, it develops a great immunity to what people might say about your figure or weight and listens to your body.
He will tell you what he needs, when he needs it and how much he needs it. Let him direct your nutrition and not your mind, just as the animals do.
If you develop deafness and blindness to what the mind may think, this will allow you to get out of the suffering it is creating with the problem of obesity.
